frustrating... stupid spam bots

this is far from new.

forums normally have modifications (mods) applied to them that makes it difficult for the bots...
but this forum is dead stock straight out of the box.


its getting late and i need to go.. this Ansterencetard3 bot is posting faster then i can delete... i'll have to get them tomorrow when im at work... sorry..

the key is to kill them before they register... dont let them register.

well, i spent an hour this morning deleting posts. other then the "am i racing" forum that i cant moderate, they were gone....

then, at around 9am... another bot started posting.

we NEED some security mods.

i deleted every post by the current bot.. and poof, i hit refresh and he posted 10 more.


btw, click on the profile of the bot.
then click on the "view all posts from xxxxxx" link.

then you can right click and open every post in a new tab or new window.
you find them all that way, and can just go thru the list, opening them all then running thru the tabs deleting them.


thats teh fastest way ive found to do it unless you mod the board with a "delete all posts from user X" mod.

if you could, delete their website from their profile, and click them as inactive (one of the option checks at the bottom of the member admin screen)

then we can still search their name, delete all their posts..

afterward, you can delete the user.
