  • Fuel Tank Rubber Group Buy 2021

This is the first group buy for ordering a new set of silicone replacement tank isolation runners. Parts will be as shown below with the same blue color. I will be producing the number of parts below plus a handful of extra depending on the quantity of extra material available.

    Production Planned timeline:
    7/18-7/28 - Group Buy sign-up
    7/29 - Order materials
8/9 - Receive all materials, begin part production.

Pricing on rubber mounts, shipping via USPS included:
    $45 for a set of front/back
$25 each for either a front or back

Down payment of $10 per order. Remainder required before shipping parts. Parts will be shipped in order of the sign-up list. Payments to be made through Paypal.

If there are enough orders, I will be able to reduce the price further. Shipping is USPS small flat rate box.

I will create a running list of orders below in this thread. I would like to start a fresh list in case many of the members on the old list are no longer around/responsive.

Please ask any questions which weren't covered in the development thread here as well.

    Notes on front tank installation:
Even with the original mount, I found it very difficult to get the tank in place and the center pin installed by inserting the tank with the rubber mount on the tank. For easier mounting, install the rubber in the frame, and then mount the tank in the frame. The pin should slide in with no issues.
Like the original parts, these silicone parts are not fuel resistant, and will eventually break down if it is exposed to fuel for prolonged times. If you spill gas, wipe it up.

Hey gang. I'm in the midst of talking to a company about making new cast polyurethane fuel tank isolators for the OEM tank. Right now I have no idea of price,

you might get more interest if it was something other than blue.

Really? The blue color for the part that isn't really visible is the big turn off? I'll get the extra additive for the black color and do that instead of the blue if it's that big of a deal.

Not a big deal to me but I thought it might be to others. And it does show a bit up front.

PM sent. I prefer black just because it’s a direct replacement for the original part, but if blue is the only option that’s fine too.

If my choice is blue or the nothing that was there when I bought it.... blue FTW....

The color is not a concern for me.

With only 15 sets, I'll probably not do the downpayment since I won't have to pony up for the 15lb bucket of material.

Since there are people who really want black, I'll get the black kit as well.
