You may enter your own Hawk / Bros and / or, you may nominate someone; However it's your responsibility to contact said member and their option to accept or decline the nomination. Entries should provide build information and photos. That's about it.

As far as I know, Clubman bars are still acceptable as long as it doesn't say all this crap. *

                  Stock bars don't dent tanks.

Low bars and smashed tanks and arthritis meds packaging in the recycling bin all looks cool, don't it.

OK, its been a while coming, and I guess while not 100 % done, I will go ahead and toss mine up for once.

This is the 1988 Blue Hawk, aka the Forever build. I still need to re-do the paint on the tank and tail, finish the dash, which will be a Vapor for the speedo and Tach (unless I change my mind at the last minute but I probably will not because I have most all of the wiring done for it), and then probably do some choice cleaning and plating of a few things that got dirty on it's maiden voyage. Right now its just a stock motor but at some point I'll probably get some work done on it from JD and punch it out to a 698. I've been told it runs OK but still needs a little fine tuning but Enigma was the lucky individual who got to test ride it (and break down on it thanks to the clutch cable tab melting, lol) and I have been too busy to finish it and clean it up the past few weeks (or ride it) and now the weather has gone to shit of course. I'm hoping it will clear up enough next week to get a little riding in and finish up the final details...

Some of the not so obvious features are the under tank Mikuni pump and mount, 600RR USD forks and brakes with the matching front wheel and a dirt bar riser conversion. I combined the M4 header and mid-pipe with a Delkevic Carbon Fiber can. The front headlight is an SV650 with an LED bulb in it. Combined with LED bulbs in the brake housing and the LED's in the blinkers all the lights have been converted to LED and I'll be using the LED's on the Vapor gauge too once I get the right resistors to dim them. Both the headlight housing and the rear hugger have been hydro-dipped to look like CF, while the front fender, front sprocket cover, and fly screen are actual CF pieces. I have a piece of CF that I'll use for mounting the Vapor on and I've just been held up on making brackets for that to mount to on top of the headlight. As far as suspension goes the front forks are stock for now and then I have the reservoir for the Fox TC mounted below the battery box. It was sitting for a while and I am surprised it did not develop a leak from sitting for so long but maybe having Teresa right it first instead of my big self helped exercise the seal some without blowing it out.

I think I'd like to ditch the yellow/gold color on the forks because it looks kind of gaudy but it doesn't totally look bad with the original blue colors of the tank and tail but I think I could strip the anodizing and have them aluminum colored but I will work further towards that once I learn a little more about anodizing and anodize stripping. That's a winter project and I will need to have the forks setup for me so it's on the future project list of things to finish before moving on to the other 2 Hawks. I think I will probably be pulling everything apart at some point again to 100 % clean and paint, powder, or plate at some point but probably not for a year or two, or at least not before I get the engine built (and then have a reason to make everything perfect).

                      Other mods:
Custom headlight bracket (Combo of parts made by Kos and some brackets from Aztek
JB's stock replacement radiator (great piece)
                      85 C radiator Tstat switch
                      Tyga Rear sets
Black Anodized Gas cap from Gas-Cap-Dude (off ebay)
three way adjustable breakaway brake levers from The2wheels (off ebay)
Philips Intense Red LED for rear brake lights
                      Evitek H1 LED Headlight bulbs
Silicone hose kit (yet to be installed)
Chinese LED blinkers with integrated Stop and DTLR's
WW Resto Tail Tidy Kit - Video of their operation here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BQzicJCpV0
                      17 Tooth Front sprocket
Venhill Front brake lines in black and CF
Rear through swingarm brake line mod
Custom mount for front Fuse block mount
Custom switch pods adapted from 919 controls (Thanks to ParcnHawk they haven't caused a fire yet!!!)

                        I’ll second Mr. Rpcraft’s self-nomination ... as is.

Since we’re in the “Restoration/Build Season”, other early-stage Hawks can be encouraged to apply. Besides, what Hawk project is truely “finished” ... and everyone who has build experience can (a) see the entrant Hawk potential “in-process” and (b) appreciate workmanship thus far.

Painting, plating and other upgrades may be a legit reason to re-submit at a later time. Mr. 88 Honda Hawk established an interval rule between HOTM nominations, but I don’t recall how long. Ahem! Jas ...

RP....there's a glaring mistake in your otherwise lovely bike. Shift rod is about an inch too long.Attitude of the shift arm should be straight down at perpendicular to the floor. This gives the shifter adequate leverage for easier shifting.Right now as you shift you're losing leverage trying to push the shift arm UP-wards. Other than that HOTM

I had another one that is a metal rod but it was grinding on the frame rail when I had it adjusted so I had to work with that for the time being because it was time to ride. Still have a little tweaking here and there to do on little things for sure, but like Jspeed said, what great project bike is really ever done?
