    Aftermarket Choke Lever Option?

I have a whole brand new choke cable setup but i am going to sh1tcan the old setup if i can find a standalone choke lever unit to use with the stock choke cable setup....anyone have any experience with this? i was thinking of the 900RR setup , but i would have to send it off to get the cable adapted to the pull knob....or perhaps someone here can slap some knowledge on me....

i was doing some thinking.....(dangerous undertaking, i know) ...and i think i may be able to use an old thumby type MTB shifter...i will have to do some slitting to allow the cable to go in ...and such, but i could mount it on the bar or on my subframe hidden away....i will stop by the bike shop i work at on weekends and see if we have something i can hack up for (developmental purposes)

How about a early Shadow VLX setup?

Its part number 5 on the diagram

It mount to the side of the engine, but you could get creative.

I just happen to change my whole assembly out yesterday.. I got a left hand control assembly off of a 2005 600rr and everything swapped right over from my old faded stock hawk assembly.. even the choke lever!!! only thing that I didn't change was the horn button.

I did the same thing with an 03 rr... used the shiney housing and the hawk's choke lever.

Racers just make the cable into a short loop which hangs out down near the front cylinder, do they not? I may try this, as I need a new cable (which doc may have for me but I've been too busy to check)- and since we are in the begining of a projected four days of snow I think I have a bit more time!
