    Headlight no workie???

My headlight quit working. Fuses are all good. Checked power to the bulb with a meter and there's no power?

Any ideas on what to check? Anyone got a good electrical diagram/flowchart?

Tap the switch a few times I have problems with it, the connections might need be cleaned.
    But normally a loose wire.

Cool. I will take a look at it soon...

The previous owner had a manual switch installed right on the fan assembly to turn the fan on manually.. It's not working either now??? Think it's related???

There is a plug in the main harness right beside the rear cylinder on the inside of the frame that will come loose. When it does you loose headlight and horn.

Horn still works? Will have to take a closer look at it in a day or two when I have time. Definately will check that plug though, thanks.

Wifes bike did this too, check the starter switch, remember when you crank the light goes out, if the contacts go bad, you get no headlight. can get a F3 assembly and move the switch over if your good at soldering.

Good to see you got that working - it's a common problem with Hawks and one I'd suggested in the "what goes wrong" stickied thread.

As a forum suggestion,I don't see the point of a general Hawk and then technical Hawk as they amount to about the same- I reckon it'd work much better as Hawk related to all things about the bike and another for all things bike but not Hawk but whatevas...

It's also common for the starter switch to stick slightly-enough to not make the starter turn constantly, but enough to prevent you from having a light.I once rode home by the dim glow of turnsignals before knowing about this
