    misc carb hose...

Putting my Uni's on last night, I noticed a small hose that runs between the front cylinder and the carbs... right beside the fuel line. Doesn't go anywhere... nothing attached to one end... what does it do?

It's not the crank case vent that goes to the bottom of the shock, and I'm not talking about the larger breather hoses coming from each carb either...

    Thanks

Bill. Do you mean the hose that connects to the top of of both carbs near the intake with a little "y" connector and then dumps over the side? Those vent the carb bowls as far as I can tell. I have my carbs apart now. Seems to go through a kinked route inside the carb bodies to get to the bowls. I think on CA models they go to Air Vent Control Valve, but on 49 states it just hangs loose, or at least it did on mine, of course mine had some creative hose routes when I got it so not sure if that is how it works stock.
