Where do most Hawks make peak Torque in first gear?
Where do most Hawks make peak Torque in first gear?
At what RPM?
Hord? Anyone?

"Peak" torque is a bit of misnomer, because as shown above, the torque numbers are essentially the same across a 4000rpm range. Torque (if defined as twisting force measured at the crankshaft) is also independent of the gear ratio.
I assume what you really want to know, as a racer, is "what is the best launch rpm for the Hawk?" I used to launch at about 7000rpm and immediately go to WOT.

I was reading something on how keeping it at redline was not a good idea and wondered what a good RPM would be to start.
I'll try 7000. Thanks!
