    Wheel options

I need to carry at least a 180. What are my options? I know that I can swap the rotating assembly from a VFR in, but I'm attempting to find something a little cheaper.

Will ducati rims fit? 916/996 rear wheels are a buck a dozen on ebay...

You're probably not going to get a 180 squeezed into the swingarm... I have a BT014 170 with a VFR rim using a spindle machined by Hiperform. I wanted a 180, but the bridgestone was a little too fat for the Hawk swinger and would rub against the swingarm. Different tire manufacturers could get you a 180... IIRC, Dunlop 208's can be fitted (onto the VFR wheel).

I don't think the Ducati wheels will fit without some modifications... the spindle sizes are different.

Why do you NEED a 180? I only did it since I liked the look-and goes with my CBR front end, but it is heavier.
It's scary how slow I am!

I'm actually going to be going with a ducati rim. VFR rims are too expensive...go figure.

I've also found plenty of folks that say from experiene that a 170 offers a pretty favorable ride on the TL so I'm not worried about that, either.

However, I HAVE been trying to find somone who can tell me the distance between the center of the pivot bolt and the hub.

On which, a hawk swinger? Since Ducati SBK's and Hawks both have eccentric carriers, it'll be hard to find the distance to the center of the hub -which changes as your chain stretches.

well I mean just a rough idea. An inch one way or the other isn't important...I'm just wanting to make sure that there's not a significant difference in length between the hawk's and the TLS's arms.

however...I've already bought a brembo wheel and then I stumbled across a great deal on a duc swinger I might pounce on. I'd much rather fit the Hawk's arm, though.
