    What tire to use?

I ride about 500 miles a day, when i go for "rides". I go on rides about 2-3 times a month when the weather permits. When i am not going for a "ride" my commutes is about 30 miles a day. I figured i could get the most use out of a sport-touring tire, but i was not sure what make/model/size i should get. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

dunlope 220 sport touring tire will get you about 7-8k miles
dunlope 208 sport tire will get you about 4-5k miles.

    size 160-60 z17r

if you want a shorter tire go with a 160-55

I commute about 30m a day also (not always on the bike)
I do alot of rallies each year and ride most weekends
I have Got Avon Azaro ST's on mine (I think the st is for sport/touring)and cannot fault them.
170 rear and 120 front (original fit would be 160 and 110)
      ARCI31
If your not livin' on the edge your taking up too much room

I like the michelin pilot road for commuting because of its all weather grip, after about 6k though the daily driving gave me a noticable flat spot. I'd guess thats about standard for what will happen if you do lots of straight line commuting though.

I have switched over to Conti Sport Attack and they grip extremely well. I will have to wait and see about the durability, only 500km on them so far.

Michelin. Try the Macadams, they will last you quite a while.

months ago. I will watch for that tire and when it comes in to our warehouse I

I also have the Michelin Pilot Roads on my Hawk. My bike is mainly used as a commuter and I have no complaints about tire performance around town. Plus I dig the profile.
Now what I do have a complaint about is how my headlight suddenly went out while I was riding home last night. This is totally off thread but it really shook me up.

my low beam shorted out and i never got around to fixing it. i just used my high beam for the longest time. dont forget you have that in a pinch, people might hate you at night but it will keep you alive.
