    wiring question

ok got my quarter turn throttle from hord
theres no room for my old switch housing so i want to wire in a toggle switch to replace my kill switch and a push button for my starter button. and these would be located on my instrument cluster. i started to look throu the options mcmaster carr has and im not sure what to get

McMaster-Carr is the complete source for your plant with over 595,000 products. 98% of products ordered ship from stock and deliver same or next day.

this is what i found, the kill switch will be easy to spec out.

my real problem is the push button, looking at the wiring diagram for that there are 4 wires going into the starter switch. so wich one do i choose out of this list??? i understand i need a mushroom style momentary switch but what amp range how many leads ec...

    TIP:
If you run a headlight relay setup or no headlight at all, (race) two of those wires are redundant. The Hawk starter switch uses a pair of NO (normally open) and a pair of NC (normally closed) contacts. The NC contacts open up and kill the headlight when you start the bike. If you were thinking of doning it in the future, now might be a good time for the readlight relay upgrade, just to make the handlebar switch wiring easier.

thanks for the help nt696 and your right i wont be running a head light. but that raises another question ahhh i hate electrical stuff. i also wanted to bypass the ignition key lock unit thingy that mounts to the center of the top triple.

        here is my set up

i plan on doing my coils up like JD did two small ones up front
thats the last thing to buy then its just, do all the work and hope she starts my dead line is may 28th

dudes right its a throttle lock, dont think im going to be using much at the track but for a street bike its $20 well spent IMO dont even need to remove the grip to install or uninstall.

SPAM: If you want an on/off switch and pushbutton to use with the quarter-turn, the VTR1000 is a bolt-on, you just need to swap the pins around to match the Hawk and it plugs right in. I sell 'em for about $36.

                      Re: wiring question

This is on my other ride but it is off of a Honda 650 Dual Purpose bike. Sorry I forget what it came off of but I just needed it for the kill switch. The starter button was of no use on a kick start on bike.
