What Kind of Suspension Travel do you get with race techs?

I'm feeling a like i'm nagging a bit here but my racetech emulator/spring installation has gone anything but smooth even though I had a mechanic doing it.

    Heres my setup
    My weight 230 punds
    Race tech spring .90
emulators set 2 turns in from no preloaded spring
15W oil level is 165mm(6.5 inches) from top (spring and spacers out, fork fully compressed)
Static sag 25mm (me on bike)
The current preload used to get the static sag of 25mm is 2mm (i.e. the spring spacer is 15mm down from the top of the stauncion top when the forks are fully extended. The fork cap which is 17mm then adds 2 mm of preload)
new race tech bushings and oilseal
mechanic says that the forks are in very good condition.

    Heres the problem
Even with hard braking to the point of doing a nosie i'm only getting 95mm of travel from the forks. Original hawk is supposed to be 130mm.
When pushed from the bars don't have much bounce although i only have the old suspension to make comparison with.

The front felt a hell of a lot better on a round town test ride. no wallowing, very little diving and I've really started noticing the back much more when on an uneven surface. Although the forks just don't feel like they are reacting all that much. I tried on speed burst and the front got quite twichy on a road where it usually wouldn't.

I've just lost the confidence in the front end as the mechanic seems to think that it's just not right to have that little travel.

I'd like to know any of you opinions whatever your setup. To date this is the first time of even been on a bike with anything more than damper rod suspension.

BTW i've just finished sending a pair of PGM wheels from yahoo japan to fabitappi and if anyone else needs a hand from this side to get spare BROS parts from the sea of BROS breakers over here then just give me a P.M.

The forum has been a life line for me so far and I hope that after I get through my difficulties that I can help other newbies on the forum out with some learned though mistake knowledge.

    Thanks

You got the oil height issue corrected, right? It still sounds to me that you guys are measuring oil height with the forks extended, not collapsed. With 2mm of spring preload your forks should be very soft and bottoming out, so it leads me to believe the oil height is still wrong.

One other thing, you guys are putting the axle in correctly? The axle bolt has to be tightened first with everything else loose, then tighten the pinch bolts. If you do it the other way 'round it will bind up the forks.

I'll keep an eye out but i'd say moriwaki stickers without the exhaust are a rarity.
