    y collector for supertrapp

so I just found a used supertrapp on Ebay which I'd love to put on my new hawk, but it does not include a y collector... anybody know where I can get one? I'd like to use the stock headers still, since budget is a factor. The trapp itself is pretty cheap, should I just buy it? (it has a buy it now)... or would I be wasting money.

If you look at this thread

there's a pic of fabitappi's Supertrapp, & how he did it...

I have a spare Hindle Y pipe for stock headers- it'll work with any 2" inlet muffler. If you'd be interested,I think I paid $75 off Ebay but never used it so would $50 sound close to fair?

bummer... the muffler on Ebay is 2.5" inlet. That's probably too big a difference to be shimmed, huh?

Yeah, .5" is a little hard to shim vs the back pressure and vibration.

You could possibly have a muffler shop expand the connector...or you could just wait for a Supertrapp system to come up for sale. There are quite a few out there that people have replaced with M4's over the years, just have the bide your time on Ebay until someone cleans out the garage.

If it's something you'd be interested in fiddling with, lemme know.

Just to be fair,I'll give Lars right of first refusal and then Tod had PM'ed me first if nobody else claimed it, then TJ and you so I'll take that as the order of dibs.

I _might_ have an identical one still around here. One of the welds cracked but it's a 2 minute repair that I just got too lazy to do.If I can scrum it up,I'll let y'all know.If someone is truly adventurous,I need to see if a Dale Walker lefty I have out there is save-able.Someone didn't realize that it was meant to be clamped and attempted to weld mild to stainless steel...I think if I trim ~ 1/8" off it,it'll still be functional. It's no wonder everything I have is a shitheap, lots of plans...lots of not doing anything with 'em

I'm partial to the socks myself... I'm going to pass on the pipe, so someone else can have it.

Still prefer the green shoe/orange sock combo. Way hot.

The Puma outlet and the biggest gun store on the East Coast are literally just down the road from Conlon's so some weekends I get the perfect trifecta in: bikes, guns and shoes that nobody else would want.
I did a real life dance of celebration the last time I went there: solid orange suede- total awesomeness.I dress like total crap, just horribly bad, but I love my shoes and socks- this girl I worked with actually said to me " hey joel, you look great from the knees down".Oath man,she actually said it... of course I was wearing high orange socks with little golfclubs on em and blue suede Pumas so yeah, she was right...I did look pretty daggum good,at least from the knees down.

I need to dig out a bunch of random motorcycle stuff and send it on to better homes.I haven't really been into bikes that much the past 2 years or so- wasting a bunch of time on old Rovers but I'm on the last one for a while and I need to unclusterfawk the garage and figure out what's in there that needs to go.If you saw how I do shit around here you'd wonder how I'm still alive, let alone why I can't find anything like a link pipe.I'm certain I still have the other one and when it comes up it's yours TJ but where I couldn't even hazard a guess.

por ejemplo: joel method of swapping out a frame- totally OSHA approved lifting methods...nah,I wouldn't ride/drive/fly anything I worked on either.

the shoes would never make it on their own.

                              its all in the socks.
