    Tappets / Valve Clearances

    Peeps,
as my carbs are off I am thinking about doing my valve clearances.
Only thing is that even with them out it still looks bloody tight in there!!!
Anybody got any helpful hints on the best way to not skin fingers and/or minimise the time taken to do it?

    Cheers,
    Marc

    rear is easy.
for the front ones, you need to remove the radiator..

i did mine while i was in the middle of my thermostat swap.. and i have other mods.. so i donno if theres mroe you need to take off...

I didn't remove the rad, just loosened the mounts and swung it forwards a tad. Still tight, mind. Having small fingers will help - myabe the wife could have a crack?
