    Engine air flow

    Got the Hawk from Colorado in yesterday. One thing that was strange is the front of the tank is bolted on top of the frame instead of in the frame as normally done. The top of the air box has been cut as well.

    Is this a racer mod from "back in the day" to improve airflow ? Do any of you racers run the front of the tank up like that ?
    Being able to ride from point A to Point B does not mean you have skills.

    I've seen that too, and it's an indication of criminal stupidity, IMO. Probably lost the original pieces.

      Nothing to gain from this at all. Put the tank back on the correct way.
      Faster than your mother... She's what the pros use.

        that's what I figured. LOTS to do before it goes back on
