    Grinding off f2 clipon "nubs"?

For any of you guys using f2 clipons on stock hawk front end... At least on the f2 bars I have which I believe are 91 vintage, there are nubs on the "clamp" of the clipons that when on the hawk line up with the bolts for the gauge cluster so the clamp doesn't go all the way down. Do you guys just grind this puppies off? Any tips?

That's what I did, they never moved on me and I rode it pretty hard too.

        Thx fellas.

I am too old to put them under the top triple

I just ground the whole thing off (badly).
