    HAWK->DUC mod question

    I am in the process of collecting parts and had a couple questions. Can someone kindly post a link of the harley petcock i should buy on ebay. I just am not sure what type and exit angle i need for the petcock on the f2 tank conversion. Also what kind of turn signals would you sugest putting on the tail of the bike.

    Thank you

    while you're at the harley dealership, look at the rear turn signals on the buells.... they're cheap, they're actually legal, and they look great.. clear/smoke lenses with a amber insert...

      yusef,
      i'm using an F2 or F3 petcock (not sure if theyre the same) and it works just fine. you do have to be careful about how you place the tank though as the reason people use the harDley one i think is because it is shorter. i'll try to remember to post some pictures if i get around to taking them, but i have my tank and petcock posittioned so that the petcock falls right between the rear valve cover and the frame. about a half inch clearance on either side.

        Sorry, don't know about the tank, but I can second the Buell turnsignal suggestion. I've had them on my bike, front and rear, for Four years or more now, no problems. In fact, I think I've only blown one bulb in that time vs the three or four in the year or Two I had the stock front and some aftermarket tat from the previous owner on the rear.

        If you go this route, search the hawklist archives for wiring info etc. You will want only REAR Buell signals to get the correct mounting. And to get the correct blink rate, replace the bulbs with 1156 series.
