    whats a good replacement chain?

What size is the stock chain? links? anyone know of a good inexpensive replacement one?

525 with 112 links assuming stock. I don't have enough experience with different chains to speak to good/bad ones. Hord www.hordpower.com has several.

If you are replacing your chain it is always advised to also replace the sprockets. If you put a new chain on old high milage sprockets you can and will damage the new chain and also risk the chance of a chain failure which is not fun.

Hord has chains listed on his site and I found a good deal a few months back on http://search.stores.ebay.com/SUM-OF...191776QQsofpZ0 for a 520 chain conversion with both sprockets for around $130 range. At the current time they have nothing listed for the Hawk but if you email them they might be able to help you out with a kit price.

        Front sprocket : JT E296.16 19 euros
        Rear sprocket : JT O1311.45 27 euros

        Chain DID 525ZVM X114 154 euros .

Prices are a little high but include installation on a Honda authorised service point .

Those sprockets are stock in size and teeth . Are the same used in the 649 as well ???

I like DID chains n'all. Don't think there's such a thing as a good and cheap o-ring chain - you get what you pay for.

DID here too.... thankfully, the good chains are very close in price to the cheap chains..

so you dont save much by cheaping out.

well I just bought the thing and its been sitting for a few years. I just got it running and I m freakin happy about that.

The chain was a little rusty looking but I just wd40'd it, cleaned and lubed it but it doesnt sound that smooth.

I dont know if the sprockets are newer or not. Maybe i ll take a pic so you guys can see if they are good or not.

as far as I can tell it looks all stock
