ethenol ????

hello,
i recently used POR-15 to coat my tank. i was talking with a co-worker today and he was describing a bunch of problems he's experience with boats and the ethenol breaking down fiber glass tanks. has anyone had any problem with the new ethenol fuels eating the coating or problems with their hawks in general running on the new stuff. i'm close to gettin her back on the road and i'd like to take care of any issues soon then later. thanks for any help/ pointer in advance and no worries i'll post pics when she's done.

did you actually use por-15, or did you use their product for sealing tanks? If you used their tank sealing product, they say that it resists "all fuel/solvents", so i'd think you'd be safe... if you just used por-15, then paint-like coating, I'm not so sure.

I definately used the tank sealer. Bought the whole kit with the wash the etch and the sealer. Lets hope they are right. Thanks for the response. Have you had any problems with you hawk running 10% ethanol?

Sorry... no experience with ethanol... I used the POR-15 tank sealant on a custome tank for a Jeep. Hasn't caused me any problems in the several years of use.
