As service shop, you ma be able to explain why, but popping on decel, or for me, on startup, is sometimes caused by air getting into the exhaust. Check the exhaust port studs for tightness. Sometimes the P.O. did not put a new copper crush gasket, causing a poor seal or vibration wears the mating parts. -Just a thought.
-I'm sorry....I did not know she was your sister.
-If Buckleys cold mixture went rancid......how would anybody know????

Could a bad air cutoff valve in a carb or 2 be causing popping on decel? My vague understanding is the valve cuts fuel on decel in attempt to avoid unburned fuel getting to the exhaust. The rubber diapharm on one of mine had holes in it originally, but never ran it like that.

Well, I am almost sure that it is doing it from the fresh air getting into that open meg and burning up anything left over...

I decided to build a baffle into the mid-pipe and pack it...the setup looks so awesome I can't change muffler...it's a Hotbodies meant for an R6 and I will try to post up pics soon. You guys will love it!

It's jetted for a full system based on Factory's specs. I will definitely have to make adjustments but it is actually a really good starting point.

Thanks for the help...I'll be a regular on this site as soon as I can find the time.
