Who knows a good, relatively inexpensive seat upholsterer? I want my stock seat re-covered in white vinyl.

Why haven't you gotten a Corbin? I tried the stock seat and it sucked ass. No pun intended.... It looks lovely with the seat cover but for regular riding the Corbin is so much better.
You should try to cover it yourself. The stock seat is stapled to the frame. I don't think the foam is glued to the cover like it is on a Corbin, which makes it a peel-and-replace job. You can make a new strap by getting some Barge glue and folding/gluing a strip of white vinyl in lieu of sewing.
How about white leather instead of vinyl? Look for upholstery or automotive-quality leather on eBay.'89 Hawk GT

Just exploring my options here... if it's too expensive I will definitely do it myself!
Oddly enough, I find the stocker more comfy than my Corbin on long trips. I do have both.1988 "BlackHawk" project

I actually recovered a seat on my previous hawk before. It is SUPER easy... went to a fabric store and they sold me the material they use on school bus seats for $8 for the entire section I needed. Used a staple gun (definitely need a staple gun for this), and tacked it on myself. It took probably 15 min and looked just like factory.

I recovered my seat this weekend with some vinyl and foam from JoAnn's Superstore. Took the old one off...used it as a pattern adding a little extra here and there. Used the foam and rubber cement and did some repairs to the weak spots and then staple-gunned it back on there.

Very easy to do. Pretty cheap too! Still got enough to recover the seat 2 more times. I would recommend some different foam though...something more near the factory density.1988 Hawk

I covered the old seat with marine-grade vinyl from a furniture upholstery shop last Friday... looks great but I know it could be done better by a pro, so I'm gonna take it there maybe... I like the skull-and-crossbones seat!!!1988 "BlackHawk" project
