Anyone with a hawk please do me a favor!!

I am just about ready to spend money on a new cdi box to fix my spark problem....but want to be absolutely sure that it is bad since you cant return these parts anymore.....if anyone would be willing to look on the right side of their bike in front of the tank...theres a 4 pin white connector that runs to the pulse generators, what i need done is for someone to unplug that and use a voltmeter on the generator side while cranking their motor to see if any kind of voltage comes from there....or if it is even supposed to? this is my dillemma and it would be great if someone could help me out! thanks

Your manual should tell you what that plug should output...if you don't have a manual there is one in PDF format on here.

according to the Bible, you should be testing for ohms, not volts, at the pulse generator wires, about 400 or so ohms is good,

if you have infinite resistance it means that pulse generator is toast.

voltage (small) comes out of these wires, but no voltage goes IN.

whatever voltage comes out will be too small to measure and too brief because it only occurs momentarily when magnetic trigger passes pick up coil as engine rotates............
