Hard to shift back in neutral?

I have heard that most Hawks have this annoying problem, unless you fix the linkage.
My Hawk is hard to shift to nuetral when it is cold, first started.
I usually cannot shift from 1st to nuetral, but can usually shift from 2nd to nuetral. I do not know what the fix is, but search the archives here or on www.hawkgt.com, and I am sure you will find the solution.

mine seems random..but easier when im rolling..like if im goin to a light or something, i can pop it in neutral while im riding and coast to the light..
when stopped its kinda like tossing a coin..

If you have trouble finding neutral from first, let the clutch out enough for the bike to move forward an inch, she should pop right in after that. A chain with insufficient lube tends to hamper shifting aswell.
