  • F2 front wheel

This is in another post but figured posting here couldn't hurt.

I have an F2 front wheel, the speedo doesn't work, I think the PO used the original Hawk drive and the plastic gear got all chewed up (spinning to fast with the new F2 wheel?).

I am wondering if the stock Hawk drive works with an F2 wheel or do I have to get an F2 drive, OR do I have to ditch it all and use a digital speedo?

    Anyone done this swap?

    F2 drive. Digi-speedos suck.

F2 wheel works with the Hawk speedo drive. Plus you need the spacer from the F2 as the OEM wheel is 110 and the F2 is 120.

What if I do not have the spacer? Where does the spacer go?

The spacer goes on the opposite side of the wheel to the speedo.
When you got your F2 wheel did you get the spacer? otherwise you may
have to go to your local Honda dealer to order one

When I got the bike I didn't know about the spacer. The PO I guess didn't put it in or lost it.

I took the front wheel off the other day and didn't see one. I have ordered a new drive unit and a spacer ($37) Should be here this week.

            Thanks for the help.

This is what the spacer looks like when on the bike.
              Hawk Legs with F2 wheel.
The spacer is req because the F2 wheel
is 120 and Hawk wheel is 110.

It actually did have the spacer. I found this out when I went to put the new one in and there was one stuck in the wheel, (I figured it would have came off with the axle) Oh well, Now I have a NEW spacer and a working speedo!
