    stock ignition housing bolted to a newer fork clamp

    this is for the guys that have done the 600rr or the rc51 front end swap

    its a specific thing i have not herd anyone complain about or even have a problem with.


    what ignition switch did you guys use (just so im 100% clear im talking about the part that the key goes into)

    i want to use the stock part and bolt it to the new fork clamp. will i have a problem with this configuration? or is the housing diameter and the bolt pattern the same? i do know its held on with two torque drive bolts and i will have to barrow the right drive bits from my pops. if not i guess i could cut that off and mount the switch somewhere else.

      when i did the 929 yesterday mine bolted up perfectly and I would imagine most others will as well...just have to drill out the old bolts

        On the 07 600rr swap I removed the key and went to a toggle!

          When I did my 929 this winter I put my key by the seat on the left hand side by the shock mount. You can see it on this link:
          1986 Honda NS400R
          1988 Honda Hawk GT

          Keep your feet on the pegs and your right hand cranked.
