    Gatorade = good for Hawk

    yep... Gatorade quenches my hawk's thirst...

    aawwww....

    isn`t that cute...
    What was the start of all this?
    When did the cogs of my Hawk begin to turn?
    Perhaps it is impossible to grasp the answer now,
    from deep within the flow of time...

    But, for a certainty, back then,
    I loved it so much, yet hated so many.
    I hurt others and was hurt myself...

    Yet even then, I rode like the wind,
    whilst my laughter echoed
    under cerulean skies...

          Stevenjhow (or anyone else), those black protectors you have on your forks, how do they attach? Do they just clamp on over the stanchions and then slide down onto the fork legs or do you have to slip them over the tops while the forks are off? I really want to invest in some of these when I get my forks back from re-chroming.

              The fork protectors on my Hawk are from a Triumph Speed Triple, and I was able to spread them out enough to fit around the upper fork legs. They clamp around the wide part at the top of the sliders.

                I've got a pair on mine that slide on from above when the forks are out. They were originally for a 1995-98 CBR600 F3, Honda part no. 51460-MT3-611. I think they were around £10 new. I can tell you that they certainly keep the bugs off the stanchions, so they probably also do keep stones off too.
