Robs,
I think this should just bolt right in.
I bought a set of NC30 forks to stick on mine but got discouraged when I found out they were shorter than stockers.
Since then however Jensen the Danish guy has said that he has a set on his and has no problems.
I was worried that the drop in height would make the front too 'twitchy', although it would speed up the slow steering feel of the Hawk, but he reports no problems.
The big plus is that a) it has a 3.5 front wheel so 120's will safely go on and b) VERY nice 4 pot calipers. I used to own an NC30 (and 21) and the '30 had awesome stoppers!
If the price is right I'd say go for it.... You can always split it up and ebay the parts if you dont like it
Just thought I'd tack on some links relating to the africa twin install. This link provides an overview of such a project.
Furthermore you can buy an engine bored out to 840cc (70 rear wheel hp) from this German outfit http://www.africanqueens.de/html/katalog.html
