Taillight bulbs?

Guys,

After being lazy and just taping up my tail light for a track day, I think burnt out my bulbs. Not really sure but the brake lights work, just not the running light portion. So I went to autozone to buy some bulbs that looked they would work (1157 I think) and still no running light. Before I plop down the big bucks at the dealer for some actual replacement (32/3 I think right?), is there something I should test out first? All the fuses are good and the headlight works too.

The 1157 are the standard replacement bulb, Honda may code it different but it is the same thing. If the running light is not working (but the brake is) on both of the new bulbs, surely you have a broken wire or loose connection. Trace the brown wires and connections. Green is ground, Green with yellow stripe is brake, and brown is running light.

You are not the same "Pekingduc" from the RZ/RD sites??

Actually yes, I am on the RZ sites. I just bought that RZ a few months ago.

As for the Hawk taillight, I looked at the brown wires and they're all connected properly but still no running light. I guess I should do a circuit check on the brown wires as well.
