    Rear Brake line question

I need to move and remount my rear master cylinder which means extending the hydraulic line from the master cylinder to the brake piston - Does anyone have a good resource for braided hydraulic lines? I think it's a 1/2 inch line (well probably in mm but you get the idea).

    Thanks

Braided steel lines are thinner that the OEM rubber one. Most decent M/C shops should be able to make up a line with banjo's to roughly what length you require. You could always give JD Hord some business

Or you could just spend $2 at the hardware store and replace that mess with a piece of aquarium tubing,a rubber bung and a couple hose clamps.

Thanks guys - I found some SS braided teflon hose an ebay for cheap. Also JD suggested Tygon for anyone else looking to do the same. I bought extra hose so if anyone else wants to do the same PM me and I'll cut some off for you.

          Holy crap!
Your right, this stuff is cheap on ebay... for cars I am assuming, but wow! How do you get the fittings to slip over the ends of the hose though? Is it really easy to just slide them on the old fittings? When you do this mod, can you put a mini tutorial up please?
          Thank you!

i know when i read joels post i reread jays post to make sure i understood wich line he was taking about. plus there arnt any banjo bolts on the reservoir line.

joal is right just use some clear tube for a reservoir, about 6" or so
any SS braided line would be over kill for a res line. and i think they are different diameters anyways.

but from the master to the caliper use SS braded line through the swingarm. makes for a clean looking install.

Overkill maybe but the aesthetics is why I wanted the braided line and for 2 bucks it was no big deal.
