If you have some machine shop contacts you could make a new endcap for your can, I remember someone posting a picture of one they'd made. Just put a 90º tip on there. -

Too close = melt tire. That was me.
My under engine setup uses a 2" 45deg bend made of stainless to clear the tire.
- That looks like a cut-down Two Brothers C-5 canister with carbon skin.
Mine, using TBR headers:
