    Clip on choices

OK, I've decided to ditch the stock handlebars and have been researching clip on options. I've done a search but really didn't find anything that stood out definitively to help me choose the right ones.

    The one's I'm seriously considering:

    F2 clip-ons
    41 mm Woodcraft clip-ons
    41 mm Vortex clip-ons
    41 mm Telefix clip-ons
    Graves Motorsports

Of these, which has the most comfortable setup.

    Thanks,

    Derek

Though I have not used any of the other ones listed I have used the Telefix ones in the past and they are excellent.

Having the ability to adjust them in 3 different ranges can hopefully address any comfort issues you might be having.

I am pretty sure the other clip ons you mentioned do not allow adjustments like the Teleflix do.

I found those those online for $200 - the Telefix "Profi" style. A bit pricey when I found a pair of F2 clip-ons for $50. Looking like the F2's might be the way I go for starters.

None of them if it's comfort you want, try vfr750 or S-Hawk or S Hawk Heli's. I don't know about F2, they might be in the same league as vfr/shawk.
these are all nicely lower, but still comfy for longer rides, and look good to boot

The Telefix (least the ones I have) have about a 2" rise or lowering on them depending on how you affix them.

I believe the VFR clip ons have a 2" rise.

Here is what I'm using, one inch rise.

I've got RGV bars on mine, pretty much flat to the top of the forks.

OK thread resurrection... so can you use the stock cables with these Telefix clip-ons? Or do you need shorter cables? Anyone know?

Thinking about doing something a bit lower and in newer condition but I don't feel like changing out the stock cables yet...

I can't speak from experience using the stock front end, but I have CBR 1000 RR clip-ons on my bike with the stock cables (clutch, choke, and throttle cable) - no issues with them and they're about a 2" drop from the stock location.

As a basement bargain I was going to suggest those from a BROS type 1 but they may be similar to those from an F2

Hey can you take a pic of how you routed the cables?
                      thx!

Almost identical to how they're routed using the stock front end - the exception being that all of the wiring guts hidden in the stock headlight are now tucked in behind the Aztec 8 headlight. I'll see about getting some close-up pics soon.

For the interim, you can get an idea of how I've routed some of them:

Starter switch gear wiring, brake line, and throttle cable:

Sweet thx for the pics... you don't experience any binding at all? When I put on the f2 front end (ended up going back to stock b/c of a leak), I noticed that the clutch and throttle cables were totally binding each other (stock configuration). That's actually quite good that yours don't... I might have to follow the same pattern as you have. If you could get close up pics that would be awesome... no rush though, I got another 3 months before I can lay my hands on my sexy ass hawk
