    exhaust pipe purchase

I have the underside exaust setup and would like to make a high mount. This requires about 2-3 feet of 2" motorcycle grade pipe to bend. Problem is i am not sure where to purchase such a thing. Does anyone know where i can purchase steel motorcycle exaust pipe stock?

    Thank you

What country are you in? I assume that you want 304 stainless steel? Can you weld or do you need someone to do the fab work? If you can, look @ Burns Stainless Steel (they have an online store). If you cannot weld or bend the tubing you may just want to purchase a midpipe from some other bike off ebay that is close to the shape you desire and attempt to modify that as it could be your least expensive solution.

Thanks guys the Burns Stainless Steel online shop seems to be the right place. Does anyone know what gauge steel i should be looking for? I am guessing 20 or 18.

        Thank you

here i deal with light gauge studs all day

          20 gauge = .0346" or .879 mm or 33 mils

          18 gauge = .0451" or 1.146mm or 43 mils

          16 gauge = .0566" or 1.438mm or 54 mils

          14 gauge = .0713" or 1.811mm or 68 mils

          12 gauge = .1017" or 2.583mm or 97 mils

          10 gauge = .1242" or 3.155mm or 120mils

20 is going to be to light
and 14 would be to much
18 or 16 would be my bet

            you're looking for a 2" dia 16ga mandrel bend pipe. (or 18, but i prefer 16)

mandrel bend is the important thing to look for.. that will be a smooth, even bend.. no kinks, crimps or such....

the normal way to do this is to buy a U bend or a J bend... and cut it at the angle you need it. then weld straight pieces to the bends.

if you take your time, its not hard, but it is very time consuming.

most automotive raceshops have mandrel bends... although the 2" is usually for race headers, it doesnt matter in this case.
