    FactoryJet kit 3.0 or 3.1

i was humping around the net looking for bike porn and stumbled on the factory website... they offer a 3.1 and a 3.0 jet kit. i was wondering if there was any real diffrence besides maybe a smaller minor update. if not im gonna go to hords site and pick up my package deal to save 3 bucks... any lil bit helps... i also have a supertrapp with 5 discs... would i need to tune my can for max potential after the pods and jets are installed??

I"m not sur eif the 3.1 is even still available. but yes from what I understand the only difference is the 3.1 kit uses a titanium needle. supposedly longer lasting. i've never heard of a problem with the standard 3.0 kit though, so i'd just go with that from Hord.

The 3.1 kit is not commonly available these days. Last time I talked w/Factory they were out of stock. It isn't needed IMO anyway, the 3.0 kit needles hold up fine.

another question about the 3.0 kit.

what's up with those titanium needles, are they any good? or is just a marketing thing for posers who like to say "yeah man, i've got titanium needles mmmkay"

If there's no difference in needle profile, I couldn't see how there would be any difference in performance...

Yes, I've tried them. There's no performance difference from the std. kit, only the needle material (Ti vs. CerMet) and the bowl screw material. (Stainless vs. cad plated steel) Last time I ordered a big batch of kits from Factory they threw in their remaining Ti kits just to get rid of them. Some of you folks got Ti 3.1 kits when you ordered 3.0 from me... Bling!
