    Reusing fork/dust seals????

    Hey guys,

I'm starting on my F3 fork mod to my lower hawk legs and I was wondering since there is only 8K miles on the F3 forks and everything is in good shape can you reuse the fork oil seals and the dust seals, or should you just get new even if they are in good shape??? This is my first time doing this so sorry if it is a dumb question, just saving where I can and "if" I can...Thanks,

    Jason

the dust covers i say use them

im not sure about the seals thou
i asked that question a few months ago and never got a answer

my guess is that they are design for one use only but i could be wrong

once they are pressed in i would say they work like a crush washer and change size so using them a second time wouldnt offer a good seal.

they are on ebay for like $10 just get new ones. MHO

Cool, will do, just thought i'd ask, hey Jaysun, have you rebuilt the f3 style fork before, or done the swap in the Hawk I'm getting ready to do? I would like some info on how the valves work on the F3 forks, I mean I know you turn it for hard/soft riding, but would like to know the physics involved and if there is any trickiness to putting them back together so they will work properly...I'll make a new thread and post some pics of my newly aquired forks,
