has anyone swapped the Hawk headlight w/ the two bulb set up from the hornet?

Yes, and he sells a kit for it!
It's kinda pricey, but that's because a) the 599 headlight is a late-model OEM part, and b) Will has to rig up a special wiring harness to mate the headlight to the Hawk's wiring. It comes with new headlight brackets that hold the headlight a little further away from the bike.
