Are Hawk and Bros Fuel tanks identical?

Title says it all. Are the fuel tanks for the Honda Bros and the Honda Hawk identical? One of you guys in europe will know the answer I am sure.

They are interchangeable, but a little different. Bros tanks have a foam padding glued to the underside (where the airbox is) with four metal guiding tabs protruding from the underside. And venting is a little different in the lid - one rubber piece needs to be removed or modified.

Thank you for the prompt response! I am not concerned about the venting or the lid but a picture of the underside of a Bros tank would help make thing a little clearer. So the outer dimensions are the same Hawk/Bros?

Outer dimensions are the same as well as attachments front and rear.

I do not have a stock Bros tank - I removed the foam and the four tabs (they only guide/hold the foam which provide noise reduction). It was only necessary to remove the tabs and foam as I am fitting a Durbahn airbox and there is some interference.

Got it. That makes things much clearer. Thank you. Let us know what you think of the airbox.

I took the foam off of mine, by the way, as it was starting to dessicate and I was worried it might find it's way into the air filters ....
