    I see different jet kits on ebay. What are the difference between stage 1 and stage 7? They don't really explain the specs. What would be best for a stock bike. What kind of kit does everyone have and what else have you done to compliment the jet kit ( exhaust, intake, etc.)? Do I need to do anything else or can I just only do a jet kit?

    Hey Steve,

    Take a look here: http://hawkgt.com/kb/ at the HawkGT.com FAQ under jetting.

    The short of it seems to be to use a Factory Stage 1 ket for a stock airbox and aftermarket pipe. Factory Stage 3 is best for Uni/K&N pods and an aftermarket pipe. Now, if you get into the engine (ie. cams, head work, larger pistons etc..) You'll need to jet accordingly. Again HawkGT.com and/or the mailing list. Regardless, (if you go nuts or just for jets ) contact J.D.Hord ( http://www.meccanicacorse.net/ ).

    I have the second setup. I had the Stage 1 with pods and pipe and wasn't happy. After the switch to Stage 3?

        What if you are just gonna put the pods on but no exhaust? does jetting help or hender?
