Honda BROS 650 & 400 engine numbers

Hi - Can anyone tell me if it possible to identy the BROS engines between the 650 & 400 varaints, either by engine number or any other easy way - other than taking off one cylinder head?
I have had a BROS laid up for years and now I am breaking to sel. V5 has always shown 400cc but previous owner told me it had 650 engine...but I actually don't know as I only rode it once beofre it got laid up.
Any help would be welcome.

Peter,
If you look between the "V" of the 2 cylinders on the gear change side
of the bike you should just about see the cc ie 647 stamped on the
cylinder block, this wil show you hav a 650 version. I guessing this is the same case for the 400.
