Passenger pegs

I picked up a pair of R1 passenger pegs off eBay because they were pretty (first mistake). They don't fit and I have to gring them down - okay, whatever. The real problem is that on the R1, they stay in the "up" position via a recessed ball bearing and a spring. On the Hawk, the stock pegs stay up via a rubber mount that compresses against a big washer. If I get the R1 jobbies to fit, I expect they won't stay up.

Does anyone know what make/model stock passenger pegs fit the Hawk, work properly while doing so, and look better than the stock eyesores? Thanx.

I would stick with Honda parts though... They seem to interchange ALOT!

Passenger pegs

I think i,ve seen VFR pegs ('02) on a Hawk. Priced them from a dealer and got scared away. If it looks like it might work, a wrecker may be the best bet.

doc is right, we or you knowledgable ones, should start an interchangabilty chart. I too hear of VFR pegs fitting

FWIW I have a set of VFR pegs as my main pegs on my Hawk. Just took a little grinding, maybe 5 minutes of trial and error. I'll have to try throwing them on the back and see what works.
