Any of you guys running pods?

I have Uni foam pods with Factory Config30's-or at least that's what I think is in there. Since the airbox was removed, I'm certain there was a bunch of shit patched up or tossed.
It looks as if the carb breathers were just sealed, and the crankcase vent has one of them mini pod filter thigies on it.
I've always had a bit of oil coming out onto the rear head, and I assume that it's this breather.
If any of you have a better setup with pods, please fill me in on how to get this right.

Sounds like my setup, however I didnt plug anything, just put the two pods on the carbs and the mini-filter on the breather. I dont seem to have any problem with it, maybe a tiny bit of oil leakage.

Okay, I was poking around on the net and found this picture.
This 'mini' pod type filter connected to the carbs... I don't have one. Mine are blocked off. I was just wondering if this is necessary. I don't know what purpose it serves.

I know on the meccanica corse site( http://meccanicacorse.net/) it says you must use a Uni breather filter when you use pods. The picture you showed is a uni breather filter.

Not for the crank breather though - which is what the site refers to, I believe - but that's the same filter. Just in a different spot.

Yeah, I have that filter as a crankcase breather... which still gets rather oily after several rides. I'm just wondering if this 'carb' breather is necessary or changes performance in any way.

I have pods and don't have a filter on those vents on the carbs...they have been running open for several years...if that is the wrong set up it doesn't seem to have been detrimental yet
i've got the cranckcase breather running into a catch bottle though, i never liked the possibility of oil going anywhere it shouldn't.

What do you mean? Do you have a tube running to the catch bottle with a breather on it? Or do you have a tube with the breather on it going into a bottle? I'm thinking I should do a little fabrication with some PVC and some brass fittings.

I have a reinforced fuel resistant flexible tube running directly from the cranckcase breather vent on rear cylinder to the catch bottle. Ideally it should have some kind of oil impregnated filter on the tube, easier to add at the end of the tube, to keep airborne moisture from getting sucked up into the motor. I generally don't find too much in the catch bottle, only once was there any significant amount of oil, and prob. my fault for adding too much oil after a change. If i was riding in the rain, I usually cleaned it out afterwards, and always changed my oil way more frequently than i had to, regardless.
