    Can anyone Confirm?

So basically it says this for the Hawk.

    These Oil Filters
    have 20 x 1.5mm threads,
    14 psi by-pass valve,

I wonder why the Honda filter is not reccommended?

Does anybody use the Wix 51358 that is specifically "not reccommended"? How do you feel about it?

on a different thread about oil filters JD said the wix filter uses a thinner gauge metal to make the housing. and can distort and leak. he offers 2 types on his web site i would just stick with those. i cant remember the brands.

Just did the first oil change on my newly acquired Hawk @ 16425 miles. I went with the bosh 3300 and 3 quarts of valvoline 10w-40 conventional motorcycle oil.

I've been using the walmart supertech ST6607 on my bike for a while. It's made by Champion.

                        FYI, the 3310 doesn't fit

i had misread the thread and thought that ANY of the 33xx filters would have the correct thread. the 3310, while a similar size to the 3323 and 3300, has a different thread.
sometimes, i doubt your commitment to sparkle motion!

I just recommended the calsci site to someone, answered the questions I had.

FYI I've been using the Purolator PureOne. The longer one fits. They just changed their can design so its now coated in a grippy sand paint.

I've been using AnyMajorBrand 15W-40 dino oil. A lot of bikers on BobIsTheOilGuy forums rave about HDEOs like 15W-40.
It's too fun riding & working on The Hawk...Been a long strange trip since YZ60

so all the 3.25 filters are about the same in quality ? or do a few stand out from the rest?
