    Hidden seat release

Just couldn't leave the cable dangling after I cut off the stock rails... had to come up with something a bit better.
Ended up modifying the stock pieces to come up with a seat release that is hidden by the cowl.

That is awesome man. I've been wondering what to do about mine, since I bought my bike with the seat lock missing. I've had to use pliers on the cable end to get it to pop. That looks like a nice alternative to carrying pliers in my pocket.

VERY trick, and looks like it belongs there. But dood - you're making work for yourself! You could've just left the little clip thingy on the subframe when you hacked off the rails, and it would keep the button neatly in place! I'll take a photo of it on my bike and post up. It's worked really well.

sure, I could have... but where's the fun in that?! Was looking for more of a finished look than the cable poking out from under the cowl that I did have.

If you've got the stock cowl, you don't see the button. I'll take pix.
