That is awesome man. I've been wondering what to do about mine, since I bought my bike with the seat lock missing. I've had to use pliers on the cable end to get it to pop. That looks like a nice alternative to carrying pliers in my pocket.'88 Hawk GT - back in the saddle

VERY trick, and looks like it belongs there. But dood - you're making work for yourself! You could've just left the little clip thingy on the subframe when you hacked off the rails, and it would keep the button neatly in place! I'll take a photo of it on my bike and post up.
