    Neutral light

Presuming it's just the bulb and not the contact that needs replacing... does the light need to be prised out with a screwdiver or pushed/turned from underneath?

    Cheers

The bulb is actually inside the gauge cluster. Take the rear plastic cover off. (dont loose those tiny nuts and washers, and undo the 3 screws holding the plastic on.) The bulbs are accessible under there. It may also be easier to do with the gauges removed from the upper tripple tree.
for a picture, take a look at the online exploded parts diagram in the sticky above.

Don't assume the bulb too quickly.

Check the contacts on your neutral switch down near the shifter. I replaced my neutral switch to get my light back!

I got it back after replacing my neutral switch also. Takes about 5 minutes, tops.

My Hawk has this same problem. It's weird... if I tilt the bike to the side, the neutral light comes on. If it's sitting straight upright, the light flickers and dies. Does that sound like the neutral switch or the contact inside of the crankcase?

I just think of it as part of my Hawk's personality... but since the forum already existed...
