Complete F3 Triple Tree and Hawk Frame

Does anyone know if the complete F3 triple is compatible with the hawk frame? Or do you have to press out the stem from the Hawk triple and press it into the F3 triple tree?

I searched across this forum but wasn't able to find a definitive answer to the question.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've done a bunch of swaps......I'd bet the F3 would fit.......the only non standard stems I've seen were 954 and RC51SP2....
But I know a way to confirm.....check the bearing numbers in the headstock micro-fiche at BikeBandit.com or any good parts site.....if it's the same bearing....the world is your oyster.

I think that'll slip right in.You may need to address the steering stops for more lock to lock,

I already checked the part numbers for the all balls racing bearing set and they are the same for the two bikes, so that confirmed that the diameter of the stem is the same.

The next thing to do is to take an F3 triple and Hawk triple (which I have on hand), remove the OEM race and then just measure out the distance from to top of the seat of the bearing race to the two sets of threads.

          I'll do that tomorrow night.

No problem on the steering stops either as I can either grind down and/or weld on some stops to make them work.

Thanks for the encouragement! (I always wanted an excuse to use the dancing banana guy)

I'll post back my measurements of the stems for future reference.

Won’t the f3 forks slide right into the Hawk triple?

Pretty sure I have F3 complete swap on my race bike, definitely easily identifiable part which is top clamp, bottom may be stock, but pretty sure I used F3 lower clamp as well

F2, F3, VFR up to 2002, Hawk all 41mm. I've been told, though I can't say for 100% sure, that the Hawk and F3 triple's width, rake, etc are exactly the same. The Hawk just has a unpainted and different shaped top triple, and a lower triple with different stops.
