Tire choices for stock front wheel...

Hey guys. So my Hawk has a stock front wheel, which calls for a 110/80 tire. Problem is, no one makes a radial 110/80 tire anymore!

Currently I'm running with a Perelli diablo 160/60 on the rear, and some Bridgestone somethingorother 110/80 bias ply up front. I know this isn't optimal, but this was the tire that came with the wheel I bought off of ebay... Like I said, not optimal. I know.

I recall reading somewhere that you could just throw a 120/70 radial on the front and the only problem would be a little (more) speedometer error. Is that true?

    Thanks!

I had a 120/70 on my stock wheel, but I shouldn't have. I had the same question when I put tires on, I was told that it would mount but not advised to do so. I never had a problem with mine, but that's not to say that it would never happen.

I think Avon still makes the AV45 in a 110-80 size and that's about all I know of?
      Anyone else?

Pirelli Diablo 110/70 ZR 17 up front on a stock rim for me. I have Diablo's front and back and am very happy.

Cool, thanks. After doing some more reading, I learned that 120 on the stock front wheel is bad news. I'll go with a 110/70 Diablo. Thanks![/list]

Michelin pilots come in 110/70 also, I have the roads for commuting/touring and the pilot powers are good for track days though a bit pricey for a weekend.
