Bros 400 stock carb set up?

  • Bros 400 stock carb set up?

    So, just stripped the carbs down on project basket case and have found the following: Are these all stock?

    Front

    142 mains
    35 pilot
    24 fuel valve
    5 hole emulsion tubes
    1TH needle

    Shorter diaphragm spring in front?


    Rear
    135 main
    35 idle
    24 fuel valve
    1TH needle

    Longer diaphragm spring in rear?
    Stock setting 7mm float height
    2.5 turns out

    The manual only seems to have info for the 650...

      anyone know if our usa 650 models are J or k or L ?

          Jet sizes correct for k model
          float height 7mm
          pilot screw 2.5 for k model, 2 1/4 for J model
          1988 = J model
          1989 = K model
          Cant help on springs. Maybe pm Yoke who has rebuilt a 400 and is in Ireland. He has done comprehensive you tube videos and may be able to help.
