Honda Bros 400

I have recently just purchased a 1989 Honda Bros 400 before doing my A2 license, and have been trying to do some research on it. I am struggling to understand how to decode the Vin number.
The Vin number is only 11 digits long that being NC25-1050692 which I have found to be normal for this age of bike/ where it was made? and tried to decode it but still have no luck I know the bike was imported but I am struggling to find the origin of where it was made ect..

any help would be greatly appreciated!

As a 400 Bros it was made in Japan for the home market.

You can also write to Honda and ask for a certification of year of manufacture if you need to register it and prove it’s relevant age

It was first registered over here in 1998 but could I still write to them asking for information?

Yes I think they’d help you. I would outline the type of information you want and send them an email, it can’t hurt.
