    ultimate speedometer???

anyone have any experiace with this part?

seems pretty cool... and its $150.. alot cheaper then everything else ive seen so far.
with this, all i'll need is the dash lights and to figure out a temp sensor.

    thoughts? suggestions?

ive heard the vapor model name thrown around alot.. but its out of my price range...

man i ran my hawk with the tach and temp and the two dummy lights for years. just count your rpms if you remember what gear your in its pretty simple to get a rough mph. unless you have an inspaction to go throu then you need one.

ive done that on cars before too...
but really, i was thinking it would look... sleeker... if i had a single thin panel up front, instead of a gauge cup.

thats why im looking at these panels.

btw, i now realise theres a veypor gauge, and a vapor gauge.

I ran w/o gauges all summer. Speed is relative anyway - I just used the rest of traffic to gauge how fast I ought to be going. Although, I'll be setting up a Sigma Sport BC800 digital bicycle speedo by Spring. Right now it's sitting in the closet with the rest of the new parts...

I have a trail tech vapor and it is reasonable.

              I would prefer this

              or this

But at $600 and $300, the trail tech works fine

I bought the Acewell speedo about a month ago and have been waiting to put it on (I'm having a custom bracket made).

I've looked at the VAPOR, KOSO and a few other and all have their good and bad points. For the money and what you get I believe the Acewell is the best value....IMHO

Im kind of digging it...i was trying to figure out if you could change the color of the Tach LEDs.....but it has alot of features and an output for a shift light...my bike is going to be a track bike...and i always have loved the RC51 gauges.....this is pretty close

On the higher (cost) end of things you have:

                              The TransLogic Micro Dash

European Motorcycle Accessories in the US carries the Translogic stuff.

                              and

The AiM Sports MyChron3 and MXL Systems

You can find a list of dealers off the AiM Sports website.

For me personally, since I am putting a 06 600RR front end on the bike, I am getting a Aimsports MyChron3 Gold.
