Replacement center stand spring?

Howdy Hawkers,

I installed a center stand I found on eBay on my '89 Hawk. The spring that came with it is OK but maybe a little stretched, the stand doesn't bump the little rubber stopper when it's up. No OEM available. Anyone have replacement options/ideas?

If the spring you have fits but seems a bit, tired you could try to increase preload on the spring byt shortening the long straight part, eg. by folding the "eye" maybe in combination with heating it.
