looking for a +4 advancer, tried normal avenues and no dice.

I would settle for a +2 if anyone has got an extra laying around.

    any help would be appreciated.

yes i know, currently he is dry so im looking for any other avenue.

Time is a bit of crunch so if anyone has a wrecked hawk or one that has a used one on it and its in decent shape.

Why do you want to advance the timing? Do you live somewhere you can only get shiity gas?
You're not going to get any more power by advancing the timing. With today's gas and a "semi hemi" head you'll get maximum torque at around 32-33 BTDC. Cranking the timing up was valid in 1975, when we had crappy slow burning fuel, "bow tie" or wedge heads and dome pistons... we have better burning fuel and flat top pistons now.

... but the key in the rotor is to locate the rotor at installation. It DOES NOT hold the rotor in place once you torque down the nut, the rotor is held in place by the taper.
Toss the key, and advance the rotor and torque it down. You're done. (It's always a good idea to lap the rotor onto the taper, even if you run a key).

You could swap out the CDI. JD use to carry the Ignitech. I didn't see it on his site lately.

I think I got a used one from a member here ~$100. A lot more bang than spending $85 on a fixed advance.

Have you tried contacting Factory Pro directly? It seems like they sometimes find stuff they thought they were out of...

I have a +2 brand new in the Factory Connection package. Bought from Hord and sitting on the shelf. I never got around to installing. Message me if you still need one. Paul.

+1 on the ignitech CDI you can adjust advance separately for low and high RPM...
I also install a TPS sensor. At the moment im running the standard map maybe next year i will try to adjust it on the dyno if i get 1 hour for cheap...
