  • Rear brake reservoir query

    Hi All,

I’ve just swooped out the standard Hawk rear caliper for a nifty little Brembo 32F caliper and plate crafted by Bill. So I’m looking at the hefty standard hose running from the rear brake up to the reservoir. It looks really bulky and I was thinking of just replacing it with some tidier hose without the wire cage.

Anyone know the diameter please ?

I also have a mental note that there’s something to be mindful of regarding the wiring harness and the rear brake reservoir. Anybody care to elaborate please ?

    Thanks as always.

The important thing in that location is the green ground wire. Its connection is critically important.

IIRC the ID of the hose is 7/16" for the stock rear brake MC but suggest removing the hose from the MC and measuring the OD of the hose nipple.
